I’m working on two types of devotional books.
One is DIGH. The title is a double entendre regarding archeology as well as digging into God’s Word. God speaks to us through both the characters and the settings of each Bible story. DIGH shows how the context and culture of those settings can increase our understanding of His message in Scripture. Examples: the Pool of Siloam, where a blind man was healed; Bethany, where Lazarus was raised, and more. DIGH is almost completely drafted.
I’m also writing a trio of devotional books. The first one, Matchless, is drafted.
In a pluralistic, relativistic world, it’s comforting to know that one thing can never be surpassed. God.
Matchless unpacks thirty superlative words God uses to describe Himself, His heart for us, and what He wants us to do with that information. This book, like all three in the series, elaborates on Scriptures in short sound bites and emphasizes practical takeaways.
The goal of each devotional book is encouragement—packaged in an easy-to-read format.
